International Events, Conferences and Training
Not all overseas Scouting events have an official Australian Contingent. If there is no official Australian Contingent organised for an event you would like to attend, you can contact the International Commissioner and register your or your Group’s interest in the event.
Taking a small Contingent overseas
If all members of the group are from the same Branch then the coordinator should liaise with their Branch International Commissioner. Where members of the group are from different Branches, the coordinator must contact their Branch International Commissioner and also express their interest to the International Commissioner.
Travelling as an individual
If an individual wishes to attend an international Scouting event, they should complete all the required forms for that event and advise their Branch International Commissioner.
Conferences/Seminars
There are numerous conferences and seminars conducted throughout the year all around the world. In some instances there are limited places for participants from Australia. If you interested in attending any conference or seminar, the first step is to advise your Branch International Commissioner.
Training Courses
Scouts Australia is regularly invited to provide trainers to various training courses, especially in the Asia-Pacific Region (APR). These invitations will be offered through the Scouts Australia Institute for Training (SAIT).
Scouts Australia members are also able to attend these training courses as participants at their own expense. There are sometimes limits on the number of people who can attend. Interested participants should advise their Branch International Commissioner.
