Other International Opportunities
There are many overseas events and not all of these will have an official Australian Contingent. If there is no official Australian Contingent organised for an event you would like to attend, you can contact the International Commissioner and register your or your Group’s interest in the event.
Groups may also wish to travel overseas to learn more about Scouting worldwide, or to visit the Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland which honours Lord Baden-Powell’s dream of having a “permanent mini Jamboree” where Scouts from around the world could meet.
Scouts Australia participates in international aid and development projects around the world. Some projects are ongoing, with teams returning every year, and others are one-off projects. In each case, the main goal is the same - “to help other people”.
We also participate enthusiastically in the following:
- Conferences/Seminars
- Training Courses
- Working overseas
